Yep. The USB that my game was on corrupted. The game didn't survive. I have some of the backups from Sep 3rd, but that's quite a bit far back and I'm not sure how much is done on that. Also I'm busy as hell so I won't actually be able to work that much. Sorry for the disappointment.

I've finally gotten some time to work on game dev again! Getting to work on some of the combat and mob systems, going to probably go animate a bear too (because Kevin is too lazy) and going to work on some other systems. Still have a long way to go, expect a late release on the timeline. Alpha pre-release version...

Some New Ideas

Since I haven't done much game development recently, I thought that maybe I should update my website with some ideas that I've come up with for the game. So here we go.

Not too much on the topic of game dev, but I've been away for a couple of days, mainly because there's a lot of work for school that I have to do right now. For example, I should be working on an essay for my English class. I do have some ideas for the game though, will be updating...

Pretty much what the title says. I tried to work on some stuff, ended up doing some other stuff, and now I'm left with a to-do list that still hasn't been touched, as well as a bunch of other things. Oh and some other guys hop on as well.

So I know I haven't posted in a while (who even looks at all) but I decided to get back into working on the game after a bit of a hiatus. Going to work on some ideas for tomorrows livestream, and if all goes to plan, I'll have a bit more progress on the game. Time for the livestream not...

Inventory system has been reworked; lots of modifications have been done to make the system a lot better.

A bit slow to update, but another livestream. I worked on creating stone strucures, and spawning crates. Going to try to rework the inventory system now to make the crate item spawning a bit more streamline and fix the crate issues. Also still need to add stairs. Livestream VOD below. New Stream VOD

Just finished a game dev livestream. Overview of what I did: Added a particle system, worked on a mutant bear sprite, added hooded crates as an item, added hover names, and some discussion on my horrible inefficient inventory system.

Quick little update: the old structure system has been reworked. I'm not sure if its showcased in the devlog from the last post but essentially, structures used to be HUGE tall pillars of building. Unfortunately I don't have a build of the old structures, so I can't get a screen shot to show you guys. Pretty much though, I remade...
